Racing Explained app for iPhone and iPad

The Racing Explained app is an interactive guide thats here to help you before and during your visit to any of The Jockey Club’s racecourses.

When at the races you can use the app to find nearby points of interest either on a map or through augmented reality ‘pin’ markers that drop onto your smartphone screen. Simply tap any of these places to learn more. You can also find the runners and riders for the next race and lots more.

The app offers you:
· A guide to what to see and where to go on course
· Augmented reality views of the racecourse
· Maps showing facilities and points of interest
· A live list of runners and riders for the next race
· Live results of the last race
· Information on horse welfare
· Guidance on what to wear
· Help to pick a winner

If you are not at the course, the app offers you the option of paying a virtual visit to view all of the points of interest as if you were there.
